The Algarvian Coast

This is a beautiful beach on the Algarvian Coast, Portugal, near Aljezur. The name of this portuguese municipality is derived from the Arabic word Aljuzur, the plural of island. From Aljezur tourists can explore the wonderful beaches of the western Algarvian coast bathed by the Atlantic which often offers a wild and deserted scene in contrast to the warmer sandy beaches of the south.
