St. Mary's Basilica

St. Mary's Basilica on the Main Market Square in Kraków, Poland, is one of the town's famous landmarks. The Basilica has two towers of different heights, the tallest is 81m high, the other is 12m shorter. According to an ancient legend, the towers were built by two brothers – each worked on one tower. When one of them finished his tower, he was worried that his brother could outdo his work and build a taller one. To prevent this, he stabbed him to death and the church tower was left unfinished.
