The Louvre or the Louvre Museum is the most important museum in France and the most visited in the world, currently receiving over eight million visitors each year. The Pyramid of the Louvre, located in the central square of the museum, was designed by the architect I. M. Pei and serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum.
