Tulip Festival
Mid-May in Albany, New York's capital city, is a time filled with the colours and smells of Spring time. For over 60 years the Tulip Festival which celebrates Albany's Dutch heritage has been of the city's most popular events and features over 200,000 vibrant tulips during a three day event. Other attractions of this event include the traditional street scrubbing on State Street, the Tulip Queen coronation, a Tulip Queen and Court Luncheon, a Royal Tulip Ball, live music, activities for kids, and arts and crafts.
Geneseo Air Show
The Geneseo Air Show, held in mid-July is an extraordinary air display of World War II planes as well as antique aircraft. Watch famous planes as they soar over your head and feel their roaring engines vibrate through your body. Described as one of the greatest air shows around, the Geneseo Air Show also features the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museum whose aim is to restore, preserve, display and fly aircraft from both WWII and even the Korean War periods. Take the opportunity to get up close to the planes and even talk to pilots.
Adirondack Balloon Festival

Rochester International Jazz Festival
