Chinese New Year Festival and Parade

Stated as one of the top ten parades in the world by the International Festivals & Events Association, the Chinese New Year Parade and Festival celebrates Asian culture outside of Asia. Hosted during late February, the parade is well-known for being a night time event and an entirely illuminated parade - one of the fewest of its kind. US Open of Surfing

For surfing fans the week-long US Open of Surfing on the West Coast is just for you! Held at Huntington Beach in early September, it welcomes more than 500,000 people annually and is the largest surfing competition in the world. Sit on the golden sand watching surfers go head to head as they tackle giant waves. Even if you're not a surfing fan, you will most definitely enjoy all the thrills and excitement of this event.
