Poço Encantado

The caves with crystal clear pools of water are one of the most unique attractions in the Chapada Diamantina region, in the Northeast of Brazil. The beauty of these locations is composed by the combination of the transparency and reflection of blue water, which during the autumn and winter causes a natural phenomenon that makes them even more fascinating. Due to the position of the sun, the sun's rays penetrate the caves and go through the wells, forming an incredible turquoise-blue beam of light that intensifies its colour even more.
