Budapest Parliament at night
The Hungarian Parliament is a large building inaugurated in the early twentieth century, located on the eastern side of the Danube in Budapest. Since 1902 it is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination of Budapest. About a thousand people were involved in its construction during which 40 million bricks, half a million precious stones and 40 kilograms of gold were used.
