Supertrees Grove

Opened in June 2012, Gardens by the Bay is one of the main attractions of Singapore and a must for nature lovers. The most striking area is where the largest supertrees are located, the SuperTree Grove. Supertrees are tree-like structures that dominate the Gardens' landscape with heights that range between 25 metres and 50 metres. The supertrees were constructed in order to achieve sustainable use of natural resources: collection of rainwater for use in irrigation and fountain displays; and their photovoltaic cells allow accumulation of electricity that is used at the end of the day in its illumination.
