The Mamanuca Islands are an archipelago of volcanic origin in Fiji. The group is a very popular tourist destination made up of about 20 islands, although seven of these are covered by the Pacific Ocean at high tide.
The 2000 film Cast Away was filmed on Monuriki, one of the Mamanuca Islands.
