Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro is a mountain in northeastern Tanzania, near the border with Kenya. It was formed by three inactive volcanoes: Shira, on the west, at 3962 m altitude; Mawenzi, to the east, at 5149 m; and Kibo, the most recent from the geological point of view, located between Shira and Mawenzi, whose peak known as Uhuru rises to 5895 m making it the highest point in Africa.
The main routes to the top of Kilimanjaro are found among the southern flanks of the volcano. The routes that exist on the north side are reserved for experienced mountaineers.
