Bordeaux Wine Festival

The Bordeaux Wine Festival is Bordeaux’s most important event which is held every two years during four days in the month of June/July. Held in Bordeaux’s city centre, it is a prominent event that invites hundreds of thousands of wine lovers from all over the world to sample the diverse range of quality wines the city of Bordeaux and the Aquitaine region has on offer – up to 80 appellations in total. As well as sampling the wine, the festival is highly informative in regards to Bordeaux’s thriving wine industry and focuses on all aspects of the wine trade from the vineyards to the wine bottles. Visitors are encouraged to participate in various interactive workshops that include wine tasting, aroma tests and games. The Bordeaux Wine Festival is also great for food lovers and often features some gourmet restaurants that give you the chance to sample some of Bordeaux’s traditional and most delicious dishes. During the festivities make sure to attend the musical performances among other entertaining shows. The event traditionally ends with a beautiful firework display that should also not missed. Even if you don’t know a thing about wine, the Bordeaux Wine Festival, which is open to the public, is certainly worth a visit during your stay in this magnificent cultural city.

 

Bordeaux International Fair

The Bordeaux International Fair is the largest of its kind in France. The event attracts some 2500 exhibitors from over 50 countries across the world, as well as hundreds of thousands of visitors. It is a great and interesting event to spend some time during your holiday.

 

Bordeaux Spring Fair – Esplanade des Quinconces
