Amazônia Manauara

The city in the middle of a great jungle, Manaus is the capital city of the state of Amazonas in Brazil, and the gateway to the Amazonian forest. Thanks to its seclusion, it is one of the few Brazilian cities which has preserved the traditions and culture of native Brazilian tribes and boasts an enormous range of flora and fauna. In fact, few places in the world offer such variety of plants, fish, birds and insects like Manaus. As a central location for tour operators, it is the hub for tourism of the Amazon forest as well as unforgettable river cruises. Apart from this, Manaus also offers a zoo, botanical gardens, a cathedral, an opera house, an ecopark and informative museums. Manaus’ popularity increased in 2014 when it, along with several other Brazilian cities, hosted the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
