Shanghai

Shanghai, also known as the Pearl of the Orient or the Paris of the East, has a very Westernized appearance when compared with other Chinese cities. The remains of the colonial occupation and the city's relations with Europe are still visible on the buildings that are part of the Bund, one of the most popular areas. Tourism is an important sector of the Chinese economy and Shanghai is one of the favourite destinations for tourists when traveling to China.
