Gran Paradiso

The Gran Paradiso (French: Grand Paradis) is a mountain massif located between the Valle d'Aosta and Piedmont regions in northwestern Italy. With an altitude of 4061 m, it is the seventh highest mountain in the Graian Alps. Gran Paradiso is located in the Gran Paradiso National Park, an Italian national park named after the mountain. The local wildlife has been the main attraction for the thousands of tourists who visit the park every year. Apart from the more hardly visible, such as foxes, wild cats and bobcats, it is easy to find large mammals such as the chamois. Also the marmot appears in the rocky areas and are visible - and especially very audible - from spring time after hibernation.
