Transylvania

Transylvania is a historical region in Central Europe that forms central-western Romania. Its unofficial capital is the city of Cluj-Napoca.
The Transylvania region is known for the scenic beauty of its Carpathian landscape and its rich history. In English speaking countries it has been strongly associated with vampires, mainly due to the influence of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula and its subsequent film adaptations.
