Riga is the capital of Latvia and largest city of the Baltic countries. Riga's historical centre has been declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and the city is particularly notable for its Art Nouveau/Jugendstil architecture, comparable in importance to Vienna, St. Petersburg and Barcelona.
