Perito Moreno Glacier: Minitrekking Across the Ice

Amazing minitrekking experience along Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina. The tour began in the hotel at El Calafate and included an almost 75km journey to the Perito Moreno Glacier in Los Glaciares National Park. In the Bajo de las Sombras harbor, located 5 km before reaching the glacier, they embarked to cross the Brazo Rico and descended on the southwest coast after 20 minutes of sailing. Then they accessed a cabin in the woods where the guides organized groups of up to 20 people. Then the walk started to reach the glacier where guides put the required crampons for walking on ice.

The tour on the glacier is about an hour and a half during which you can appreciate crevasses, seracs, sinks and small lakes. The hike is moderate with irregular areas of ice but overall firm and safe.
