Reed Flute Cave

This amazing cave with unique shapes has its shapes highlighted by multicoloured artificial lights. It is located 5 miles from downtown Guilin, Guangxi and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in China.

The cave is made up of natural limestones and is replete with stalactites, stalagmites and unusual rock formations. This fantastic attraction was shaped through the action of water and erosion over the years.

Besides the breathtaking beauty of the site, it also has a great historical importance. It is believed that the cave is more than 180 million years old. Inside, there are more than 70 inscriptions written in ink which can be dated back to 792 AD in the Tang Dynasty.
