To the Bean!

Many cities have iconic landmarks that make them famous around the world. It is impossible to not associate Christ the Redeemer with Rio de Janeiro, the Hollywood sign with Los Angeles or the Coliseum with Rome. Chicago also has its own postcard image: The Cloud Gate.
Located in the middle of Millennium Park, the most famous park in Chicago, Cloud Gate was officially inaugurated in 2006. Designed by the Indian-born British artist Anish Kapoor, this sculpture became one of the most famous sights of "the Windy City". Nicknamed "The Bean" because of its shape, the Cloud Gate is made of steel, and reflects brilliantly and poetically the beautiful Chicago skyline.
