Igreja do Colegio

The Igreja do Colegio is located in the historic city centre of Funchal and is one of the most beautiful churches of its time. It was built by the Jesuits in 1647. In the picture we can see the Igreja do Colegio facing Praca do Municipio where at its centre you will find a spectacular fountain along with the famous Portuguese calçada, the traditional pavement with distinctive designs and patterns.
